Why Do I Need an Event Cleaning Service?

If you’re hosting an event, then you know how important it is to have a clean and presentable space. Not only does it make a good impression on your guests, but it also helps to create a more enjoyable experience for everyone involved. And while you may be able to handle the cleaning on your own leading up to the event, during, and after can be a different story. That’s where hiring an event cleaning service comes in. Here are just a few reasons why you may need to consider this option:

1. You’ll be able to focus on other aspects of the event.

Planning and hosting an event can be a lot of work. There’s so much to think about and do leading up to the big day that it can be tough to juggle everything at once. If you’re trying to do it all yourself, then something is bound to fall through the cracks. But if you outsource the cleaning to a professional service, then you can take care of other important tasks and know that the cleaning will be taken care of.

2. They have the necessary cleaning equipment and supplies.

Cleaning an event space properly requires having the right equipment and supplies on hand. This can include multiple cleaning tools, a large supply of paper towels and sponges, and plenty of sanitizing supplies. Of course, it’s not just the tools that contribute to a thorough cleaning job; workers are also needed to reach high spaces and clean items that cannot be reached by other means. If you’re trying to do everything on your own, then chances are you don’t have access to the right equipment or supplies. This can make the cleaning process much more challenging than it needs to be.3. They have experience in this kind of work. The professionals who clean event space for a living are well-versed in how to handle this type of task as efficiently as possible. With their experience and knowledge, they can quickly and efficiently get it cleaned.

Preparing Ahead of Time

No matter what kind of event you’re hosting, it’s important to plan ahead and be prepared for the cleanup. That’s where event cleaning services come in. Here are a few reasons why you need an event cleaning service, and how to prepare ahead of time:

1. You’ll Save Time and Money

If you try to clean up after your event yourself, it’s going to take a lot of time and effort. Not to mention, you’ll likely need to rent or buy cleaning supplies that you might not use again. Hiring an event cleaning service means that everything will be taken care of quickly and efficiently, so you can focus on other things.

2. Your Event Will Run smoothly

The last thing you want is for your event to be disrupted by a messy cleanup. Hiring an event cleaning service means that everything will be taken care of before your guests arrive, so the only thing you’ll have to worry about is having a good time.

3. You’ll Make a Good Impression

First impressions are important, and your guests will definitely remember how clean your event was. If you want to make sure your event is remembered for all the right reasons, hire an event cleaning.

What are some timely tips for the event host?

  • Make a list of all the areas that need to be cleaned before the event and delegate cleaning tasks to different team members.
  • Create a cleaning schedule and checklists to make sure everyone knows when and where they need to clean.
  • Inspect the event venue before the event to ensure that it is clean and ready for guests.
  • Have plenty of cleaning supplies on hand so that you can quickly clean up any spills or messes that occur during the event.
  • After the event, do a thorough cleanup of the entire venue so that it is ready for the next event.

What should be cleaned and event checklists

As an event host, you should be prepared for anything and everything. That includes making sure your venue is clean and presentable for your guests. Event cleaning services can help take care of the nitty-gritty details so you can focus on more important things. But what exactly should be cleaned before and during an event? And what should be on your event checklist?

Here are some things to consider when it comes to event cleaning:

Pre-event cleaning

  • The week before your event, deep clean your entire venue. This means dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and scrubbing every surface.
  • On the day of your event, do a final walk-through of the venue to make sure everything is in place and clean.
  • Make sure all bathrooms are stocked with soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.

As an event host, you are responsible for making sure your venue is clean and presentable for your guests. This means that you need to think about what needs to be cleaned before and during the event. Event cleaning services can help take care of the heavy lifting for you, but it’s still important to have a plan and know what needs to be done.

There are a few key areas that should be given extra attention when cleaning for an event:

The entryway and lobby:

First impressions matter, so make sure your guests are greeted with a clean and welcoming space. This includes sweeping and mopping floors, dusting surfaces, and polishing any glass or metal fixtures.

The bathrooms:

Bathrooms should be clean and stocked with all the necessary supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.). Pay special attention to the toilets, sinks, and mirrors. Make sure there is no dirt or grime build-up anywhere.

The event space:

This is the main area where your guests will be spending their time, so it’s important that it is clean and comfortable. This includes vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting surfaces, and cleaning

During the event

  • Have someone assigned to cleaning up spills and messes as they happen.
  • At the end of the night, do a final sweep of the entire venue to make sure nothing was missed.
  • Bathrooms should be checked regularly throughout the night to make sure they are clean and stocked.

Post event cleaning

After your event is over, it’s important to have a checklist of things that need to be done in order to prepare for post event cleaning. Here are some key items to include on your checklist:

  • Remove all trash and debris from the event area
  • Pick up any loose items that may have been left behind
  • Wipe down all surfaces and clean up any spills
  • Vacuum or sweep the floors
  • Dust all surfaces

Once you’ve completed the above steps, your event space will be ready for post event cleaning. Post event cleaning is a crucial part of the event process and should not be overlooked. A professional cleaning company will have the experience and knowledge to properly clean your event space, ensuring that it is ready for the next event.

Conclusion

There are many reasons why you might need event cleaning services, but the most important one is to ensure that your event venue is left in pristine condition. Our experienced and professional team of Natoma cleaners will be able to take care of all the nitty-gritty details, so that you can focus on enjoying your event. If you’re wondering how to prepare for event cleaning services, the best thing to do is to communicate your needs and expectations clearly with the cleaning company. That way, Natoma can tailor their services to suit your specific requirements.

How to hire a Event cleaning service provider

When it comes to event cleaning, there are many different factors that you need to consider. Here are a few tips on how to hire a service provider:

  • Determine the scope of work. What exactly do you need cleaned? Make a list of all the areas that need to be addressed.
  • Research various event cleaning companies. Ask for referrals from friends or look for online reviews.
  • Get quotes from several different companies. Be sure to compare apples to apples when it comes to services offered and price.
  • Choose a company that you feel comfortable with and that offers a good value for the price.

We’ll cover how often you need to clean and maintain your warehouse, who should be involved in the process and what tools are needed to get the job done right.

With this article, we hope to provide you with a detailed guide to help you start cleaning up your warehouse today.

Planning in advance

Planning ahead is essential to ensuring that your warehouse cleaning process goes smoothly. If you are experiencing a large amount of traffic, including trucks and forklifts, you may need to set up striping and parking spaces so the heavy vehicles don’t damage the hard surface of your warehouse floor. You’ll also want to take note of the items that come into your warehouse and what they are used for. This will give you an idea as to which items should be prioritized when it comes time to clean them.

The warehouse supervisor should be aware of what materials are stored, where and when they will need to be replaced. This way, the cleaner can plan for the most efficient route to be used in order to complete their tasks. Additionally, by using a cleaning checklist, the supervisor can check off each task as it is completed.

Preparing the right tools

The right tools are very important when it comes to warehouse cleaning. Picking the right detergents and dry sweeping is going to improve your work efficiency. Make sure the place you’re about to clean is well lit so that you can see all the dirt you’re removing.

  • Use a broom with a long handle to reach places that are out of reach, like on top of shelves or high ceilings, duster, dustpan to sweep up and collect any debris on the floor and thrash bags
  • The most important tool is a vacuum cleaner that helps remove the dirt. It is the best tool to use for cleaning surfaces such as floors and walls, under equipment, or other hard to reach areas. It should come equipped with a crevice tool that can clean out all the nooks and crannies where dirt often gathers.
  • Next thing, We need to mop and wipe down the floor with hot water and soap or Cleaning detergents, they can make the job easier by removing tough stains effortlessly.
  • If you are cleaning up products that have been spilled on the floor, it’s important to contain it with a spill containment mat to protect the floor and any other surrounding surface from getting dirty. Use rubber gloves to protect from chemicals – Wear protective gear like goggles and respirators when needed
  • You should also have paper towels and a bucket of water with some soap in it.
  • Different surfaces will need different types of cleaning products so it’s best to have on hand surface cleaners like dish soap, floor cleaners, window cleaners and carpet cleaning chemicals
  • For outside hard floor dirt and loading bay areas, We need a high pressure water jet machine and scrub brush to get rid of dirt and grime.

  • Other necessities would include a ladder at least six feet tall for easy access to high shelves and high dusting poles.
  • Disinfectants

Basic cleaning

Basic cleaning of a warehouse is relatively easy.

  • The first step is to sweep the floor with a common broom or dustpan to make sure that it is clear of any dust and vacuum it.
  • Squeegee is needed for any glass windows within the warehouse that may have gotten dirty from outside debris.

  • Then, you should mop the whole warehouse floors with disinfectant to eliminate any bacteria that may be present on the ground and clean up any spilled material.
  • Dispose of garbage and take out for the recycling.
  • Remove dust from vents
  • Clean, scrub & disinfect bathroom areas
  • Clean & wipe the machineries and
  • Disinfect high touch areas such as door handles, computer accessories, chairs, light Switch, shelves and pallets, trolleys and trolley Handles, keys and grab bars

Some more advanced cleaning techniques are also possible according to the size and layout of the warehouse.

Deep cleaning

Deep cleaning is the most important type of warehouse cleaning. This type of cleaning goes beyond a surface clean to reach dirt and grime that hides deep in the cracks. Deep cleaning is a process that can be done every few years to keep things clean and safe. You need to remove all dust, dirt, grease and other contaminants from hard to reach areas like under shelves, door frames and machinery. Dirt buildup can create safety hazards by attracting pests and providing a haven for mold.

To minimize the risks of contamination, it is important to do a deep cleaning of the warehouse before the new products are delivered. A deep cleaning involves removing old equipment that the company no longer needs and getting rid of clutter and dirt. The walls should be wiped down and all of the surfaces will need to be scrubbed by hand. After this is done, they should be power-washed with an eco-friendly cleaner and then rinsed and dried.

Fully protected Disinfectant killing microbes

What is Surface Disinfection? A blog about the Surface disinfection process and how it can help you.

Disinfection is the process that eliminates harmful microorganisms from a surface or object by applying a chemical, physical, or biological action.  While many people know that disinfection can help protect your homes as well as commercial environments, it is often unclear about the process and how it can help you. This post will help you with understanding the process of disinfection and how it can be beneficial to you.

Surface Disinfection and cleaning

Surface disinfection is a process of applying chemicals on the surface area to kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi. It is usually done with a mixture of water and chemicals that destroy microorganisms, but it can also involve using ultraviolet light irradiation. There are two types of surface disinfection: hard surface and environmental. Hard surface disinfection is used on frequently touched area surfaces and floors, while environmental surface disinfection is used to clean the air in a confined space.

Hard Surface Disinfection

General disinfection

  • When it comes to surface disinfection and cleaning process, soak clothes with prepared disinfectant or bleach solution and use them for wiping frequently touched areas. Observe contact time according to disinfectant‘s manufacturer instructions.
  • When cleaning either floors or horizontal surfaces, use a wiping motion instead of an aggressive scrubbing. This minimizes the creation of aerosols and splashing.
  • After the appropriate contact time, wiping the surface with a wet cloth, and then letting it air dry after, is most effective.
  • Linens need to be washed to reduce the presence of the virus that can stick around on surfaces such as curtains, carpets, mattresses, pillows or cushions for up to 3 days.

Environmental Surface Disinfection

Whole room fumigation

Whole Room Fumigation is decontaminating entire rooms by introducing chemical mist and vapour and maintaining the desired concentration for a required duration. Afterwards, the area is aerated to remove any trace of the chemical disinfectant that may have been left in the air.

     1. Surface Misting

Surface misting is the process of generating a fine water droplet fog for disinfecting and sanitizing large spaces by means of fogging equipment. The droplets are generated by means of an atomizer.

Hand-held misters work by spraying a mist of disinfectant liquids onto the intended surface for disinfection. Another variant of such a device is an electrostatic sprayer, which delivers charged droplets that are attracted to surfaces, resulting in a more even layer of disinfectant on the surface. An effective hand-held misting/spraying process should deposit an even layer of disinfectant liquid on the targeted surfaces with the required contact time

     2. Ultraviolet (UV) Irradiation

Ultraviolet surface disinfection system is a method that applies short wavelength UV radiations to inanimate surfaces. The device kills microorganisms by exposing them to the UV rays. This technology has been used for decades to disinfect hospitals and other medical facilities.

A UV system will kill germs, but it won’t clean the surface of any dirt or debris. That’s why you need to use it in conjunction with some form of cleaning agent – typically soap and water.

Items to Prepare for Cleaning of Premises

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) – Disposable gloves, Surgical mask, Face Shield (optional)

Office Cleaning Doesn’t Have To Be Hard, Read These 9 Tips

Who likes cleaning? And who likes doing it over and over again? No one. Pretty much all of us hate cleaning the office. But don’t worry, no matter what size or space your office is in, there are ways to keep it clean. You just need some tips. So if you’re ready, read on!

  • Establish a Cleaning Schedule

A common mistake that people make is not establishing a cleaning schedule. To make your cleaning routine easier, establish a routine schedule. This will help you know the workload and prepare for what is necessary to do each day. We suggest dividing your office into three parts and deciding on a day of the week to clean it. If you have an empty space in your building, you can establish a cleaning schedule for that one space as well.

  • Keep the Trash Can Empty

A clean office is not only pleasant to work in, but also an inviting environment for clients. When people come into your office, you want them to see a neat and tidy space with no distractions. One of the easiest ways to maintain this is to keep the trash can empty.

  • Be Aware of What Is in Your Trash Can

Office trash cans are notoriously messy places. They often contain all sorts of things like empty cans, wrappers, food scraps, and even cigarette butts. If you want your office to be cleaner, be aware of what is in your trash can. Put all the food scraps in one place, empty cans in another place, and the wrappers in another. This will help you clear out the trash more easily.

  • Use Natural Cleaners

Natural cleaners are healthier for your family and the work environment, they’re also less expensive. Plus, they don’t require much more effort than traditional cleaners. You can make your own natural cleaner using common household ingredients like vinegar, lemon juice, or baking soda.

  • Make Trash Pick Up Easier

A lot of people don’t enjoy dealing with trash. We all know how it is, there’s a pile of garbage and you have no idea where it came from or what to do with it. Trash piles accumulate quickly, and oftentimes the trash gets dragged all over your floor. So instead of making a huge mess, You can use a trash can with a lid or a garbage bag that you have access to from your desk. This will keep the trash from getting too smelly and messy. In addition, you can clean up any messes as they happen. If you make trash pick-up easier, your days will be much more enjoyable.

  • Create a Cleaning Routine for Everyone in Your Office

It is important to set up a routine for cleaning in your office. Make everybody in the office understand their role. This will help them know what they are supposed to do and when it needs to be done. You can also delegate duties so that each person has responsibility for an area of the office.

  • Get Organized at Home

One of the best ways to keep your office clean is to start with a clean home. Clean your home, and you will have an easier time cleaning the office. Get organized at home by putting items in different rooms that belong together.

  • Keep Your Desk Organized

Organization is a big part of any office cleaning routine. Sometimes, it can be hard to stay on top of all the papers and junk that have accumulated on your desk. A good way to start would be by sorting all of your items into categories: papers, files, office supplies, and personal items.

  • Lastly, Remember to Enjoy Yourself

Finally, remember to enjoy yourself. You should not feel guilty about spending a little time cleaning your office to make it a nicer place for you and your employees. Keeping the office clean is a win-win scenario.

NATOMA Office Cleaning Services will clean offices on a regular basis at competitive prices. We’ll get rid of trash and remove any surface dust on the floor, on desks and tabletops, in filing cabinets and more.

Sanitize Your Retail Space During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Sanitize Your Retail Space During the COVID-19 Pandemic

We have been socially distancing for weeks now, riding out the coronavirus pandemic. It is a challenge to keep your retail space sanitized during the COVID-19 pandemic. Retail spaces must safely and effectively operate both to serve the public and to simply remain open. We have turned to remote working and learning, virtual happy hours with friends and family, online shopping, and digital fitness apps just to stay sane. Various studies on the internet say it can take anywhere from three weeks to two months to form a new habit.

One way or another, many of us will emerge from this crisis with new ways of doing things — especially when it comes to consumption.

Retailers, in turn, will need to adapt. And fast. Shoppers will be looking for spaces where they feel safe.

Yet, with COVID-19’s novel structure, no one really knows what to expect. That is why it seems as if the safety guidelines are ever-changing.

Contracting a professional cleaning company specializing in safely and effectively providing frequent disinfection of retail spaces may be necessary.  We must recognize and address the unique challenges that come with this new challenging environment in retail settings.  Considering the nature of most retail stores, using the provided guidelines can help protect shoppers and staff (which may also mean more dollars in the door, fewer days closed for additional sanitation if there is a positive case, and fewer sick staff members taking time off as well as putting others at risk). We will also discuss some of the requirements for cleaning and disinfecting retail spaces.

Current Best Practices for Employees

All retail employees should be educated on:

  • Hand Washing & Sanitizing. All retail locations should consider having both hand sanitizing stations and cart sanitizing stations at primary entrances. Both employees and patrons can be reminded of handwashing best practices.
  • Self-checkout sanitizing process. Any employee who may work in a self-serve area, including self-checkout or any retail location where a customer may somehow take care of themselves, should be trained to rotational touchpoint sanitizing of these areas.
  • Hand hygiene practices. Retail spaces should consider providing signs, handwashing procedures, and hand sanitation opportunities for both employees and shoppers. Hand hygiene practices are defined as washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after eating; after sneezing, coughing, or using a tissue; after a bathroom break; before touching food; after touching or cleaning a surface that could be contaminated; and after sharing any type of electronic equipment or supplies.
  • Coughs and sneezes should be covered with tissues or done into the inside of the elbow. Any used tissues should immediately be thrown away and the hands should be washed.
  • Priority areas should be cleaned on an ongoing basis. This includes high contact surfaces that are touched by lots of people, such as checkout areas, handrails, carts, equipment used to stock the facility, restrooms, etc.
